HOW MY TARGET AUDIENCE IS SIMILAR TO THOSE OF ART IN AMERICAS -
Art of America is a magazine that is all about visual art and current social issues. A lot of their readers are older historians, teachers, art enthusiasts, and others. But, some of their readers are younger people that are into art and the history of art and social issues. They can appeal to the 18-24 range all the way to the 45+ range. Their content is diverse and can be read by anyone. The art of America has been around since 1913, so they have a global presence in the art magazine world.
I can fit into some of their ideas and target audience because I want to be able to have a diverse range of people looking and reading my magazine. To be able to do this I would need a intriguing magazine that can appeal to anyone, like the art of america magazine.
HOW ART IN AMERICA MARKETED THEIR PRODUCT -
ART News and the art in america magazine are merging, and both are giving each other marketing. The combining of these two iconic names brings tons of publicity for both brands giving them more and more sales. A lot of magazines are teaming up with other media types to get as much marketing as possible. ART News being an online new media, partnering with a magazine that highlights art is a great collaboration for both brands.
THE PERSUASIVE TECHNIQUES THAT THEY USED -
On the Art in America website there is a section called newsletter. You can sign up with your email and receive "insider information from the art world." They then get your email and can try and get you to subscribe to the magazine and receive the magazine through the mail. They also like many magazines send email blast to hundreds at once to get the word of Art in America to everyone

WHAT I WOULD USE TO MARKET MY PRODUCTS -
The marketing tool of teaming up with another form of media would be a great tool to use. this could benefit a smaller newer magazine become something bigger. Having the backing and marking of another successful company could aid in the building of a platform and help with the overall product marketing.
